I offer spiritual direction to anyone who seeks to connect more deeply with the voice of the Divine and/or Transcendent in their lives and welcome those of any faith tradition, or none at all. If you are connected to your spirituality but aren’t comfortable with the notion of organized religion, my door is open to you!
As your spiritual director, I can help you find ways to connect more fully with the Transcendent, however you might conceive of it. While I can’t fix problems or provide answers, my role is to be a conduit for transcendent grace that helps you find the way to your own answers. I am here to walk alongside you on your journey.
I enjoy using the creative arts in spiritual direction and have trained in the ARTbundance™ coaching model. Even a quick, spontaneous sketch or doodle about a given topic can tell us more than one might think. These insights often point to the subtle ways in which Spirit is speaking to us. We can use artistic techniques for exploration as much or as little as you would like.
I completed my Master’s in Spiritual Formation at the Episcopal Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, Texas. My B.A. is in Biblical and Theological Studies, and I have also studied and explored the mysticism of the Sufis as taught in the West by Hazrat Inayat Khan in the early 20th century; I took initiation into the Inayatiyya Sufi Order in 2015.
I have long felt that the entire point of my existence is to help people live more truly and authentically to who they really are. We become so concerned with society’s expectations and demands that we forget to be genuinely true to ourselves on a deeper emotional and spiritual level. Only when we are honest with ourselves are we then able to be honest with others and with the Divine. This was a crucial part of my own journey through childhood, adolescence, and into adulthood, and I would be honored to accompany you on your own journey as well.
I believe we are all interconnected to each other and to the Divine, and the more fully we live into this interconnected love, the more we are able to share that love with others. The more love we experience, the closer we can grow into oneness with each other, with ourselves, and with the Divine.
